The New Funky was founded in 2020, in Nijmegen (The Netherlands) by Mick Verweij. He loves to bother his environment with his passion for music that has gotten out of hand. He does this in his own hometown through 'Podium 8' and 'Jazzstad Nijmegen' and as a (co) programmer for various festivals. When he manages to get someone excited about an artist or music style he loves, there is nothing that can beat that!
