Acclaimed NYC’s session, touring bassist and funk maestro Tong Cherd has unveiled his electrifying and caffeine infused new instrumental single, "CAFF", an irresistible blend of groove-heavy basslines, melodic bass parts, and a dynamic sonic sax and slap bass solo that redefines modern funk.

"CAFF", featuring Augie Bello on the saxophone, is a bold, unapologetic piece that showcases Tong Cherd’s mastery of the low end while paying homage to the genre’s timeless pioneers. With its infectious riffs and high-octane energy, the track transports listeners to a space where precision meets passion, bringing funk to life in a fresh and fearless way.

Augie Bello is a saxophonist and artist with a following of over 800k people who are eager to hear his original music. Through Instagram and TikTok, Bello has met and recorded with multiple artists including, Teddy Swims, Darren Criss, Casey Abrams, Andy Grammer, KYLE, Magic!, Shaggy, James Blunt and many others. In addition, he appeared on as a guest on The Drew Barrymore Show in September. In 2023 Bello released his debut EP "Augie" which received over 1 million streams. Recently, in July and August, Bello was a finalist for the Riders Choice Award and was featured on Good Morning America. Most recently, Bello has released “Magnet” from his upcoming debut album, “Drawn” which will come out in Spring of 2025.

Natawat Cherdjareewatananun, better known by his stage name Tong Cherd, is a Thai-born bassist renowned for his melodic bass lines and electrifying slap bass solos. Currently based in New York City, Tong is a graduate of Shobi Music College in Tokyo (2018) and The New School in NYC (2023). Over the years, Tong has collaborated with acclaimed artists such as Augie Bello, Cory Wong, and FIG, captivating audiences with his dynamic playing style. In 2019, he performed alongside legendary T-Square saxophonist Takahiro Miyazaki at the Chiang Mai Jazz Festival with his band, The Merry Jean. Tong's musical versatility spans a wide range of genres, including R&B, funk, pop, jazz, indie rock, punk rock, and more. His career as a professional musician has taken him across the globe, with stints in Japan, the United States, Singapore, and Thailand. Currently one of the most sought-after bassists in NYC, Tong regularly performs live shows, takes on session work, and plays with his band, The New Approach, in the city’s vibrant music scene.
